I'm here and I'm TIRED.
Orientation + running around like a chicken with its head cut off = no fun. I really need a bike because it's a LONG walk (for me at least)...
Right now I'm in Seminar House I. I was going to do homestay but I changed... and now I'm going into Seminar House III. Constant internet access = love.
I ate at the cafeteria and it was pretty good. Curry rice is the best thing EVER. The boys here are pretty cute, too... hee. :x
My only complaint right now is that I can't use internet on my laptop. Come Friday it should be fine, and I'll have a huge gap between classes to hang out in the CIE lounge to use the net. I need a surge protector but I was too tired today to go and hunt.
I need to:
-Get my ID card.
-Get my alien registration card.
-Get a cell phone.
-Get pillows and blankets. I need these SO BADLY.
-Get a surge protector.
-Maybe get a bike...
I really need another shower. The showers here are so nice. @_@

I received my itinerary today. I ended up with a window seat! I also signed up with a frequent flyer miles program since it was free.
The final shopping run will be made sometime this week, and I'll get clothes. I started to pack and I have NO idea how I'm going to get what I need for a year into three little bags... it seems impossible. I'm trying to take as little as possible, since I can dash to the store and buy things I need once I arrive.
... Two weeks from today, I'll be in Japan.

I received an email from JASSO about my plane ticket. It's almost time...
I'm so scared and excited all at the same time. I've wanted this for so long.

So I have my visa, and now I'm waiting for my plane ticket. My itinerary has me leaving Charlotte/Douglas as 9:21 am on Monday, Jan 23. Since I have to be there two hours early, and it takes 2.5 hours to drive there from here, we'd have to get up and be out of here by 5am. My father wants to drop me off at a hotel the night before, which will make it WAY easier to get there on time without being utterly exhausted.
Even though it's 22 days away, I should start packing now, I guess. I need to decide what to bring... and what I need to buy. I think I've bought enough little gifts for everyone.
I really don't have anything to update with...! I just wanted to update with something so everyone knows I didn't forget about this journal. >x>

We're getting down to the end, here. I'm heading to Atlanta tomorrow to get my student visa.
After this, all I'll have to do is buy the things I need and start deciding what I want to bring/packing. I received my grades from this past semester, and so I don't have to make a 4.0 at Kansai to keep my head above water--I had a 3.4 so I'm safe as long as I don't bomb. If I do all my work and pay attention in class, I do well.
I received my flight itinerary, so I'll be arriving at Kansai airport at around 5pm on the 24th of January. I have a two hour layover in Detroit Metropolitan, but hopefully they'll have wireless internet and I can pop online while I have a bit of a snack. I also applied for a speaking partner. Maybe they'll like visual kei!
SPEAKING OF!! There's a concert I have to go to in February! ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) earenwe_kg (even though you can't see this!) we should go...! *_*~ It's in Osaka! I just hope my host family will let me go... I'm 23! Ialsohopetheyhaveinternet
I'll be getting a cell phone asap. I can't live without it.
I wonder if Northwest has outlets in coach.
